Terms of Service
Effective: July 2026
These terms govern your use of websitetomarkdown.ai and app.websitetomarkdown.ai (the "Service"), operated by Website to Markdown ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
The Service crawls publicly accessible web pages you specify, converts them to Markdown, and packages the result for download, including generated llms.txt and llms-full.txt files. Crawling and conversion are best-effort: some sites block automated requests, and some markup does not convert perfectly.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and are responsible for all activity under your account. One account is for one person; do not share credentials.
3. Acceptable use
- Only crawl content you have the right to access and convert. You are responsible for complying with the source site's terms of service and applicable copyright law.
- The crawler always respects robots.txt. Do not attempt to make the Service circumvent robots.txt, paywalls, authentication, quotas, rate limits, or other technical restrictions — ours or anyone else's.
- Do not use the Service for anything unlawful, or to harass or harm others.
- Do not interfere with the Service, probe it for vulnerabilities without permission, or resell it as your own.
4. Your content
The Markdown produced from your crawls is yours. We claim no ownership of it and host it solely to provide the Service to you. How you use converted content — including whether you may republish it — is your responsibility.
5. Plans, billing, and cancellation
- Free: 25 converted pages lifetime, up to 25 pages per crawl, at no charge.
- Pro: $9.99 per month, including 10,000 converted pages per month and up to 500 pages per crawl.
- Pro is billed monthly through Stripe and renews automatically. You can cancel anytime through the self-serve billing portal; access continues until the end of the paid period. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable.
- Quotas are enforced server-side. If a crawl reaches your quota it stops gracefully and you keep the pages already converted.
- We will give at least 30 days' notice before any price increase takes effect.
6. Availability and changes
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, and we may set or adjust technical limits to keep the Service healthy. We do not guarantee that any particular page can be crawled or converted.
7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, and our total liability arising out of the Service is limited to the greater of $10 or the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including 4, 7, and 9) survive.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, excluding its conflict-of-law rules.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here and notified to account holders by email. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
